Wanted : Embedded Systems PFE – Innovate for Life at Air Liquide Medical Systems

Air Liquide Medical Systems (ALMS), a global leader in medical technology, is launching its recruitment for an Embedded Systems Internship (PFE) within our R&D center in Antony. Dedicated to supporting those fighting for life, we develop cutting-edge ventilators and respiratory therapy equipment. This internship offers a central role in enhancing the reliability of our next-generation medical devices. You won’t just be coding; you will be transforming healthcare standards by ensuring software and hardware work in perfect harmony.

Missions: Master CI/CD for Embedded Systems and Hardware Testing

Your primary objective is to finalize our DevOps infrastructure. While the foundation of our GitLab CI/CD pipeline is already built to compile firmware, a vital piece is missing: automated physical deployment. As an intern, you will develop the automation logic required to flash binaries onto machine microcontrollers via USB or Ethernet.

Once the deployment flow is stable, your second challenge will be Firmware Automation & Hardware Testing. You will design and implement a test bench capable of validating the functional behavior of the hardware after every software update. This project requires a deep understanding of the intersection between code and physical electronics, providing you with a 360-degree view of the medical device lifecycle—from cross-compilation to real-world validation.

Match Your Profile: Development and Prototyping Skills

This Embedded Systems Internship (PFE) is designed for final-year engineering students. To excel here, you must have a strong command of GitLab CI and Git. On the programming side, C/C++ for embedded platforms is essential, as is Python for hardware scripting and automation.

Practical experience with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, and UART, along with hands-on prototyping using microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry Pi), is crucial for this industrial project. We are looking for a proactive, autonomous student capable of navigating complex technical challenges with rigor and curiosity. At Air Liquide Medical Systems, we value team spirit and the ability to solve problems that directly impact patient quality of life.

Why Join Our Team?

By joining ALMS, you will work on a unique site in Antony where R&D, manufacturing, and support functions collaborate under one roof. You will gain invaluable experience in the medical field, where every automation script contributes to a higher standard of care. Air Liquide is committed to diversity and inclusion, providing a stimulating environment where every talent is empowered to innovate for a changing world.
