As a leading general contractor in Quebec, LFG Construction is a major player in the construction industry and is actively seeking an Administrative Technician.
This full-time, permanent role will primarily focus on accounts receivable but will also provide essential support for payroll processing, collaborating closely with the department head.
Core Responsibilities:
The key duties include managing invoicing for ongoing projects, generating customer releases and notices upon payment, and diligently handling collections with follow-up according to set deadlines. The technician will serve as a point of contact for client inquiries and employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, and billing. Other responsibilities involve accurate filing and archiving of documents, preparing and processing weekly payroll for all office and construction site personnel (CCQ), and maintaining updated employee and payroll records. The successful candidate will also perform other related administrative tasks as necessary.
Qualifications & Skills:
We seek a candidate with a College Diploma (DEC) in Administration, a Vocational Diploma (DEP) in Accounting, or a suitable combination of relevant education and experience. Experience in administration is a plus, and familiarity with the construction sector is beneficial.
Required skills include strong autonomy and initiative, meticulous attention to detail, excellent proficiency with IT tools like Office 365, the ability to be a collaborative team player, exceptional time management for handling multiple priorities and strict deadlines, and a strong client-service orientation.
